National Independence Day

Polska changed relationship status from “it’s complicated” to “free”* *In Polish the adjective “wolna” has three possible meanings: 1. Slow, 2. Single, 3. Free

Every year on the 11th of November Poland celebrates National Independence Day. For 123 years, due to partition by Russia, Prussia and Austria, Poland disappeared from World's map, to finally resume it's independent statehood in 1918.

Not so long after Poland was torn again by brutal history - Second World War, holocaust and communism time took its toll. I am lucky enough to be born in a free country and I am really thankful for that. Dziękuję!

Please have a look at this beautiful footage of Poland. It shows two faces of Poland - cruel past and bright future.

Happy Independence Day everyone! Szczęśliwego Święta Niepodległości! :-)
