Polish Easter: śmigus - dyngus

On the second day of Easter Poles traditionally pour water on each other. It originates from pagan days, when sprinkling other person with water symbolized purification. In modern days teenagers armed with buckets full of cold water are ready to “purify” every single person passing by.
